PHOTOS FROM EBAY, TABLE, POLAROID, PINS, JOURNAL

With digital photography becoming more and more prominent, many fear that the photograph is losing its objective value. If Barthes is correct and images are a visual validation of our memories, then, as a society, we are now selling our family histories and memories to the highest bidder (all of these images were purchased on ebay). Reclamation is an opportunity for participants to claim these images and give them a value higher than monetary once again. At the same time, through the use of a Polaroid and journal, they are also given the opportunity to leave a part of themselves behind. It is a constant give and take of energy and respect.
