COMMUNITY ART EVENT

The Berm Project was an opportunity for local artists and musicians to share their talents with the community through the use of spring clean up week in Fargo, ND and Moorhead, MN. By collecting items off the curb, or berm, that others have placed for disposal, artist create unique items without the often heavy financial burden. These items are then brought together in the form of a yard sale with music and refreshments so they can be traded for other talents with the intent that art be discovered instead of sought out, eliminating an often felt intimidation. Once such exchange invovled a collage wall piece for a young girl's song. 

By using the items from one house to create a piece that may enter another through neighborhood charm and familiar events, we are joining homes and breaking down the barriers between ourselves.
